ESG Policy
Introduction to StretchWrap and our Approach to Our Environmental, Social and Governance Responsibilities.
We have two fundamental principles by which we operate at StretchWrap:
1. Treat people and the environment how you wish to be treated.
We all like to be respected and given the opportunity to demonstrate what we can do and achieve without being pre-judged. It doesn’t matter whether you are big or small, global or local, speak a different language or anything else for that matter. To us, it matters who you are and what you do, not what you are. So that’s how we treat everyone. And the Environment! You don’t pee in your drinking water, so why do we pollute the environment we live in? We all need to do a better job at protecting this wonderful asset and at StretchWrap we’re doing just that to create a Better World for Everyone.
2. What you put in is what you get out.
There is no substitute for hard work and there is no luck in success. Lucky is winning the lottery, the rest comes down to hard work. And we’re there to go the extra mile for you and the environment. We need to look after the people and things that look after us. That’s our team, our customers, our suppliers and very importantly, the environment.
Environmental
We only have one world, so we better look after it! As a supplier of plastic packaging, we believe in using plastic responsibly. We achieve this by:
- Using less plastic to deliver a better result. By using better quality plastic and the right tools, our customers can use lower micron plastics to achieve better results. This means less plastic and lower costs. That’s got to be a WIN!
- Using recycled plastic in our products wherever possible. All our industrial films are manufactured from 100% recycled materials, and we continually strive to add more products to our range that are made from recycled materials. Our latest addition is a hand pallet wrap made from 100% recycled plastic. This is a first in New Zealand!
- Recycling the plastic we supply and use wherever possible. We offer our customers a recycling service for all their soft plastics, whether supplied by us or not. These plastics are used in the manufacturing of some of our products, creating a circular economy.
- Continuous innovation to find better and more environmentally friendly solutions for our customers. We will never stop striving to look after our environment for future generations.
Social
This links back to our fundamental principle of treating people how you wish to be treated. It’s pretty simple really.
Everyone in our team is treated as an equal with respect and supported to get the training and guidance they need to be the best they can be! If everyone in our team is the best they can be, then we can be the best we can be! This is how we are able to source the best products at the best price and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Governance
Lead by Example
In the same way you treat people how you wish to be treated, you do as you are happy for others to do to you. And we don’t stand for anything that isn’t fair and equitable, doesn’t adhere to basic human rights or provide safe and sanitary working conditions with fair pay. And we certainly do not support collusion, bribery and corruption.
Continuous Improvement
Incorporating ESG principles into the way we live our lives and operate our business strengthens our commitment to sustainability, ensuring a positive impact on the Environment and Society. We continuously strive to lead by example, promoting responsible business practices that support a Better World for Everyone.
