Plastic Film Recycling

Keeping packaging film out of New Zealand landfills

Stretch Wrap NZ will collect your scrap plastic film to be recycled at our Mt Wellington facility – free of charge! You won’t find this environmentally conscious solution from any other pallet wrap supplier in New Zealand.

We have specialist machinery onsite that transitions your waste into plastic raw material. Your waste packaging film will be repurposed as new plastic items by other goods manufacturers around the world.

Divert your plastic waste away from the landfill and into our plastic film recycling programme. Rather than filling up New Zealand’s landfills with unwanted plastic, we can help convert your waste into new recycled plastic products such as storage boxes, outdoor furniture and other household items.

Closed-loop Cardboard Core Recycling

When you’ve finished a roll of pallet wrap, what happens to the cardboard core?

Don’t throw it into the skip to be sent to landfill, or even to paper recycling merchant. We can repurpose any length of cardboard core to the exact length (520 mm or 250 mm) required for re-spooling on our stretch wrap machine. Waste collection services are an expense for your business. Our free waste recovery programme reduces that cost to your bottom line.

Add your cardboard cores to the Stretch Wrap NZ collection pile, along with your waste pallet film. We’ll return it to our factory where your cardboard cores will be re-used for the same purpose all over again. In this way, we can extract up to five uses from one core. At its end of life, the core is finally recycled to be made into cartons.
