Our Green Commitment

Sustainability: Just because it is “recyclable” doesn’t mean it gets RECYCLED!

We are committed to working with our customers to reduce the volume of plastic packaging they use and recycle what they do use.

We will:
  • Find a reliable, cost-effective way to use less plastic and deliver a better result
  • Use recycled plastic in our products wherever possible
  • Support our customers in recycling their plastic to guarantee that it is in fact recycled so they can demonstrate their GREEN credentials
  • Lead the way in recycling the plastic we supply, our customers use and creating new products from recycled plastic materials

Our industrial wraps are made from 100% recycled material.

Proudly Supporting Trees That Count

Committed to Climate

StretchWrap is a proud supporter of Trees That Count, a programme managed by environmental charity Project Crimson. We’re helping Kiwis plant native trees across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Recycling

There is a big difference to being recyclable and actually getting the plastic recycled. We don’t just say it’s recyclable, we actually recycle the plastic our customers use.

For our Auckland customers, we will take back their LLDPE and LDPE clear, clean plastic and recycle it into new plastic films and products e.g. pallet covers and industrial wraps. We will provide an annual certificate confirming the volume of plastic purchased and recycled which can be used to demonstrate sustainability and support for environmental objectives.

Reusing

StretchWrap manufactures products in New Zealand and we work with our customers to take back the cardboard cores used in pallet wrap so we can reuse them. Cores are typically reused up to 5 times which enables us to reduce the number of new cores required by up to 80%. This supports our core objective of being more sustainable.
